When it comes to winter skincare, our needs are way different than any other season. The most common complaint I hear about is dryness. And it’s to be expected. Everything we need to stay comfortable and warm is also drying AF.
The official start of Winter falls around Christmas, meaning we still have another three or four months ahead of us (depending on where you live). So what can you do in the meantime to keep your skin looking great?
Obviously, it’s important to stay hydrated, but beyond that, here are some products that are sure to keep you glowing and moisturized all season long.

I’m a huge fan of Palmer’s Cocoa Butter. Seriously, if you use this you’ll see some serious changes in your winter skincare regimen. If you’ve been suffering from dryness with no relief in sight, then get you some! I love getting more for my money, so I like to order in bulk. That way it’s sure to last the rest of the season and beyond. And I don’t have to worry about running to the store for more.
But what I really like the most about it is that it absorbs without feeling greasy or oily. If your skin feels parched, apply it twice a day.
CosRx’s Niacinamide 5% + Snail Mucin 74% Dual Essence is a cold weather must have. I featured it on my Fall Skincare list, but I would add this to any winter routine as well. It’s that extra boost of moisture that my skin needs to stay looking its best in spite of the dry weather. I love their whole Snail Mucin line, but if you have an established routine you love and just need something extra, check it out.
I have a soft spot for Too Cool For School’s Egg Cream Mask. Believe it or not, this is the brand that had me falling in love with K-Beauty in the first place! These sheet masks make skin deliciously bright and hydrated. Plus, unlike some serum masks, this one is thick. And I know it’s a placebo effect but it feels like it works better because of it. On days where your skin is feeling extra dry, add it to your routine. You can even use one every day to bring life back to your winter dry skin.
Another winter skincare essential is hyaluronic acid. It helps your skin retain moisture which is essential for healing dry, irritated skin. I love The Ordinary as a brand because it’s high quality and very affordable. Their Hyaluronic Acid + B5 is less than $10. I would use this throughout the dry months and then taper off once spring comes around again.
The last thing I would add to any winter skincare routine is a sleeping mask. Sleep masks are the last thing you put on after your skincare routine. It’s a thicker cream that takes times to absorb. Belif has been my go-to brand for years when it comes to hydration. Their Aqua Bomb Sleeping Mask is sure to make you fall in love. I have never been disappointed in a Belif product.
You could use all of these or a few, but these are my top picks of the season. Do you have any favorites that you would add to this list?
